MK Dons meet the staff of Suzuki GB PLC in Milton KeynesOct 16, 2014
As an official partner of the MK Dons Football Club for the next two seasons, Suzuki GB PLC welcomed the whole squad for a tour and a meet the staff event this week at its Head Offices at Snelshall West, Milton Keynes – home to the brand in the UK since 2006.
The squad were escorted by their manager Karl Robinson as well as Executive Director Andrew Cullen and the staff got the chance to meet and mingle with the players for autographed team shirts, photos, a management Q&A session and the cutting of a large celebration cake. The squad were also given a tour of the Headquarters for Suzuki Cars, Motorcycles, All Terrain Vehicles and Marine engines as well as the extensive supply of parts to its dealer networks.
The players also had a good chance to take a look at the Suzuki product range with the award winning Swift Sport, S-Cross and motorcycle and ATV models certainly attracting a lot of interest. One of the squad, defender Antony Kay, scored early with Suzuki though as he recently collected his new S-Cross from Milton Keynes Suzuki at Stony Stratford.

Our relationship with the club will really help further improve the awareness of Suzuki in the local community and its great involvement for our 145 staff too with a high proportion of them living locally.”
The major sponsorship deal sees the world famous Suzuki logo carried on the Dons’ first team and replica shirts and training kit throughout the 2014/15 and 2015/16 seasons. Suzuki is also involved in a community project with local schools through the club’s Sports and Education Trust.
The Dons’ state-of-the-art stadiummk home base is less than four miles across the city from Suzuki GB’s headquarters. As well as providing a UEFA Elite-standard ground with capacity for more than 30,000 fans, the stadium complex also includes arena facilities, meeting rooms and a four-star hotel. This year the Dons are celebrating their 10th anniversary, playing in Sky Bet League One.
