Part Exchange Your Car

Thinking about part exchanging your car for a new or used Suzuki? Our no-nonsense guide is designed to talk you through all of your questions on this simple process:

Will I be able to part exchange with Suzuki?

Trading in your old car as part of the payment for a new one is a great way to upgrade your car.  All Suzuki dealers are experienced professionals when it comes to selling used cars and will be more than happy to help you out with a part exchange deal.

But doesn’t my old car have to be a Suzuki too?

Your Suzuki Dealer is geared up to handle just about any make and model of car, and they want to help you upgrade to a Suzuki. Even if our Dealers don’t plan to sell on your car, they’ll still be happy to give you a competitive valuation. Suzuki Dealers always welcome new customers and will do their very best to make life as easy as possible.

What happens if I have a loan or hire purchase left to pay for my old car?

Don’t worry. This happens all the time. Just bring the details of your loan agreement and let your Suzuki Dealer work out the cost of settling up what’s left to pay. If you like, your dealer can then roll over this balance into a brand new agreement for your new Suzuki.

How will the dealer work out the right price for my car?

Buying a new car is a big investment so it’s important to make sure you get the right price for your old one. Your Suzuki Dealer works out a fair price for your car by using industry price guides.  These help them to adjust your price up or down depending on the condition of your car, the mileage, accessories or any extras. The dealer will be happy to talk you through the valuation for your car. And don’t forget, they want you to buy a new car from them so they’ve got every reason to make sure you’re happy with the price they give you.

And how can I make sure I get the best price?

Getting the best price for your car is easy:

  • Give your car a good clean as looks can make a real difference. Don’t forget to tidy up the inside too.

  • Maximise your profit by minimising the work for your dealer. Make sure everything is in good working order.

  • Bring all your paperwork. You’ll need your MOT certificate (if your car has one). You’re also likely to get a higher price if you can show a full service history and any repair invoices, particularly if your car has been serviced by an official dealer.

  • Be sure to bring both sets of keys with you.

Every single one of our Dealers is dedicated to giving you fantastic customer service. They’ll do everything they can to make sure you’re completely happy with your decision.
